Sahara Tyre J-Type Road Branch: Location, Timings and Visitor Guide
The J-Type Road branch is our industrial-side workshop in Phase 1 GIDC Vapi. It exists for a simple reason: the Char Rasta junction is convenient for highway traffic, but factories, warehouses and transport yards along the J-Type corridor were losing time driving back out to it. This guide covers exactly where the branch is, how to reach it from each approach, what it can handle, and when to visit so you are not waiting behind a fleet.
Sahara Tyre J-Type Road is at Plot no 2910 J Type Rd, near J Type Bridge, beside WALKAROO INTERNATIONAL, Phase 1, GIDC, Vapi, Gujarat 396191. It is open Monday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Call or WhatsApp +91-7490052234. Walk-ins are welcome, and the branch handles 3D laser wheel alignment, dynamic balancing, tubeless puncture repair, new and tested used tyres, cold precure commercial retreads, truck tyre fitting and GST-billed fleet work.
Why There Is a Second Workshop on J-Type Road
Vapi GIDC is not one road. Char Rasta sits at the junction where NH 48, Daman Road and Silvassa Road meet, so it naturally serves cars, highway travellers and businesses passing through. J-Type Road runs through the working heart of Phase 1, past chemical plants, packaging units, warehouses and transport yards. A truck that needs a steer tyre, a retread or a dual-tyre match should not have to cross the industrial estate twice to get it.
The branch is not a satellite counter. It carries the same service standard as the main hub: computers for alignment and balancing, a puncture bay, tyre stock across passenger and commercial sizes, and direct owner supervision. What changes is the address and the daily rhythm. Mornings belong to commercial vehicles heading out on dispatch, and the middle of the day is usually easier for a car or scooter.
Exactly Where the Branch Is
The landmark chain is simple: find J-Type Bridge, look for WALKAROO INTERNATIONAL, and the workshop is at Plot no 2910 beside it. The PIN code here is 396191, which is different from the Char Rasta hub's 396195, so do not rely on a PIN-based search alone.
On Google Maps, search for Sahara Tyre J-Type Road rather than just Sahara Tyre. A generic search often shows the Char Rasta listing first, because it is the older and more reviewed profile, and that can send you to the wrong side of the estate.

How to Reach the J-Type Road Branch
From Char Rasta or NH 48: enter Phase 1 GIDC from the Char Rasta side and continue on the internal GIDC roads toward J-Type Road. Keep heading for J-Type Bridge; the branch is beside WALKAROO INTERNATIONAL. If you are coming off NH 48, take the Char Rasta exit first, then follow the GIDC internal route rather than trying to cut across from the highway.
From Vapi Railway Station: come through town to Char Rasta, then continue into Phase 1 GIDC toward J-Type Road. This is the same approach used by most customers coming from the station side, and it avoids the one-way traps around the market area.
From Daman: follow Daman-Vapi Road into Vapi, then head into Phase 1 GIDC and continue to J-Type Bridge. From Silvassa: come in on Silvassa Road toward Vapi GIDC, then turn into the Phase 1 internal roads toward J-Type Road.
If a diversion or a closed internal road makes it unclear, call the branch instead of circling. Send your live location on WhatsApp to +91-7490052234 and the team will guide you in from the nearest landmark.
Which Branch Should You Choose?
Both workshops follow the same standards and can handle the same core tyre work. The difference is access and vehicle mix.

The Best Times to Visit
For a car, scooter or bike, the easiest window is usually early morning from 7:00 to about 9:00, or after 3:00 in the afternoon. The middle of the morning and the late-afternoon dispatch period are when commercial vehicles tend to arrive, and a truck bay takes longer than a car bay.
For a commercial vehicle or a fleet, come early. Trucks heading out for the day are usually dealt with first, and a dual-tyre match, retread fitment or alignment check takes more time than a passenger car puncture. Calling ahead on +91-7490052234 lets the team keep the right size and casing ready.
Sunday is quieter and the branch closes earlier at 6:00 PM, so it suits a private car or a last-minute puncture but not a large fleet job. After the monsoon, alignment demand rises sharply because pothole impacts knock camber and toe out of specification. If you feel a pull or see feathered tread, come in before the rush rather than after.
What to Bring and What to Expect
Know your tyre size before you arrive, or let the team read it off the sidewall. The size is printed in a format like 195/65 R15 91H, and the same string determines stock, price and load rating. If your vehicle has wheel lock nuts, bring the key; without it the wheel cannot be removed safely.
For warranty work, bring the original invoice if you have it, because the manufacturer claim is processed against the purchase record. For a fleet or company vehicle, give the 15-digit GSTIN at the counter so the invoice is issued correctly the first time. Every removed tyre remains your property, and if you leave scrap behind, ask for the scrap value to be adjusted on the bill.
Expect the team to show you the removed tyre and the alignment screen rather than simply handing over a bill. If a puncture is in the sidewall, or a tyre has a bulge, the answer will be replacement, not repair. That is a safety boundary, not an upsell, and it is the same rule at both branches. Our guide on when to replace car tyres explains the five triggers in detail.
Fleet and Industrial Support on the J-Type Corridor
The branch is set up for the way industrial fleets actually operate: vehicles arrive in batches, tyre sizes repeat, and downtime has a cost. Work includes dual-tyre height matching within the 6 mm limit, cross-star lug torque, casing inspection before retreading, and pressure checks across a fleet. Invoicing is GST-compliant, with itemised lines for tyres, retreads and services. For the full maintenance protocol, read our truck fleet tyre maintenance guide, and for branch contact details and directions, see the J-Type Road branch page.

Where exactly is the Sahara Tyre J-Type Road branch? expand_more
It is at Plot no 2910 J Type Rd, near J Type Bridge, beside WALKAROO INTERNATIONAL, Phase 1, GIDC, Vapi, Gujarat 396191. Search for Sahara Tyre J-Type Road on Google Maps rather than Sahara Tyre, because the main hub at Char Rasta will otherwise appear first.
What are the J-Type Road branch timings? expand_more
Monday to Saturday 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Sunday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The branch follows a walk-in model, so no appointment is required for tyre fitting, puncture repair, balancing or wheel alignment.
Do I need an appointment at the J-Type Road branch? expand_more
No. Walk-ins are welcomed throughout opening hours. If you are bringing a commercial fleet, multiple vehicles or need a retread or truck tyre fitted, call +91-7490052234 first so the bay, equipment and stock are ready when you arrive.
Is the J-Type Road branch or the Char Rasta branch closer to me? expand_more
Char Rasta is on the main junction and suits drivers coming from NH 48, Gunjan, Chala and Daman Road. J-Type Road sits deeper inside Phase 1 GIDC near J-Type Bridge and Walkaroo International, so it is usually more convenient for factories, warehouses and transport yards along the industrial corridor.
Can I get 3D wheel alignment and wheel balancing at J-Type Road? expand_more
Yes. The branch is equipped for 3D laser wheel alignment, dynamic computerized wheel balancing and tubeless puncture repair, matching the equipment standard of the Char Rasta main workshop. Alignment includes a before-and-after measurement report.
Can trucks and commercial fleets be serviced at J-Type Road? expand_more
Yes. The branch handles heavy commercial tyre fitting, dual-tyre height matching, cold precure retreads for drive and trailer axles, and GST-compliant fleet invoicing. For scheduled fleet work, call ahead on +91-7490052234 so tyre sizes and casing stock can be arranged.
What should I do if a tyre has a sidewall bulge? expand_more
Do not drive on it. A sidewall bulge means the internal cords have fractured and the tyre can fail without warning. Fit the spare if it is serviceable, or call the branch on +91-7490052234 for assistance, and replace the damaged tyre rather than repairing it.
