Fitment Advice & Size Verification

145/65 R13 is a narrow 13-inch radial used on light-weight city cars such as the Maruti 800, early Santro variants and the Hyundai Atos. This is a small-diameter fitment, so fitting a wider 165/65 R13 without changing the rim is not a safe upgrade - it changes the rolling diameter beyond the two percent tolerance and moves the tyre close to the suspension strut. Confirm the code moulded on your sidewall or on the driver door placard, and bring the car in if you are unsure.

Note: Always verify your vehicle door jamb sticker, fuel lid placard, or existing tyre sidewall markings before purchasing. For safe handling and speedometer accuracy, overall rolling diameter should remain within ±2% of original manufacturer fitment.

Expert answers for 145/65 R13 pricing, pressure, and warranty

Not on the same 13-inch rim without checking carefully. A 165/65 R13 is about 3.4% larger in rolling diameter than a 145/65 R13, which is outside the safe two percent tolerance - the speedometer will read low, the ABS and stability systems will see a different wheel speed, and the wider tyre can foul the strut on full lock. We will measure both before fitting.
30 to 32 PSI cold front and rear for normal city running, and about 2 PSI higher during the monsoon so the casing stays firm over standing water. Check the door placard for your specific model rather than relying on a general figure.
They can be, provided they pass our 5-point inspection - minimum 3.0 mm of usable tread across all ribs, intact bead wire, no sidewall bulge or bulge scars, no internal ply separation and a clean 45 PSI immersion tank test. Every used tyre we sell carries that certification.
