Fitment Advice & Size Verification

175/70 R14 is the wider 14-inch radial used on the Fiat Punto, Nissan Sunny and older Hyundai Accent variants. Compared with a 165/70 R14 it adds 10 mm of section width, which improves cornering and braking but tightens the arch clearance, so check for any rubbing on full steering lock before committing to it. If your existing tyre is a 165/70 R14, this is a plus-size change of roughly 2.4% in rolling diameter, so we measure and confirm it before fitting.

Note: Always verify your vehicle door jamb sticker, fuel lid placard, or existing tyre sidewall markings before purchasing. For safe handling and speedometer accuracy, overall rolling diameter should remain within ±2% of original manufacturer fitment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Expert answers for 175/70 R14 pricing, pressure, and warranty

Usually yes, because the overall diameter only grows by about 2.4% - close enough to the two percent tolerance that we still measure both tyres before fitting. The wider tyre will also reduce the arch gap, so we check for rubbing on full lock and re-align the car afterwards.
32 PSI cold front and rear is the normal setting, and 34 to 35 PSI when the car is fully loaded on a highway trip. Measure cold in the morning - if the reading is taken after driving, subtract 4 to 6 PSI to get the true cold figure.
Nitrogen is optional but recommended for regular highway users. It holds pressure more steadily across a 200 km NH 48 run and keeps moisture out of the rim, which matters on coastal Vapi roads. We fit it as part of every new tyre installation at no extra charge.
